best damn bbq ever

In these historic times there are few things worth writing about. Politics for sure merits keystrokes. But i think we have been neglecting food.

Judge Bean's Texas BBQ in nashville (in Bill's neighborhood, no less)... oh my gawd! i know jane and michael stern (roadfood.com) love Dixie bbq in JC -- a well deserved distinction -- but this is incredible. If you go, get the BBQ Tacos.

Who knew Texas even had a style of bbq?

Hell, if they can barbecue as well as they execute the mentally disabled, that's bound to be some good eatin'!

yep, they make some fine bbq in texas,, smoked heavy then glazed heavy on a grill, lots of sugar, maters, onion and pepper, not so much lemon as east tenn/n.c bbq, also tends to be heavier into beef as opposed to pork or chicken, In my experience (which is limited to a texas bbq guy i worked with in a boy scout troop back in kingsport) it's some damn fine stuff, and the beans are usually spicer heat wise than the bbq itself,,,

big tall glass of lemonade,, or several beers indigenous to the region (the region being defined loosely as earth) tops it all off very nice,,,

a cardiologist nightmare come true!
