In Today's News

From Reuters

"Jun 15, 2006 — WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush on Thursday signed into law legislation that raises fines tenfold on radio and television broadcasters that violate U.S. decency standards by airing extensive profanity or sexual content.

The new law, which boosts fines to as much as $325,000 per violation from $32,500, could help congressional Republicans woo conservatives in a tough election year as they have faced ebbing support from key core constituencies.

The Christian Coalition had placed legislation to increase the fines as the No. 5 item on its 2006 legislative agenda. The new law also caps any continuing violations from an incident at $3 million."

Well ain't that just fuckin' great? Gas prices have doubled, wages have fallen vs inflation, 2500 great Americans have died in Iraq which remains in apparent chaos, the Fourth amendment is being whittled away by the Supreme Court and ignored altogether by the Justice Dept and NSA, Osama Bin Laden is still running around free and these douchebags have upped the ante in the all important battle to protect people from hearing the word "tit". It's a fuckin' good thing we have this kind of leadership to identify the real problems and lead our country against the dark forces that would cause us all to hear "Tit" on the radio.

A note to the media that can't understand why Bush & Co haven't gotten a poll bump from his recent batch of good news: Maybe the american people expect more out of the White House than just not getting anyone indicted for a week. Maybe we haven't set the bar as low as you ass clowns have.

Bin Laden? I thought they gave up on the pretense of even looking for the guy. I do, however, have a theory - try looking in Vegas - my sources tell me that he's been yucking it up at the Palms for months now in a comped suite of rooms with hot and cold running infidels....What a room service hog!

Iran's defense minister on Thursday vowed that his country would "use nuclear defense as a potential" if "threatened by any power."

Saddam vowed that his country would use "weapons of mass destruction" if threatened by any power.

The Taliban said they would not give up Bin Ladin to any power.

If Iran's defense minister is not lying then who is? I thought they said they were useing the nuclear material for power plants, at the same time, what is this "nuclear arsenal" they are beating their chests over?..

Excuse me for displying good, old fashioned, American Xenophobia, but why do they lie about what they have and their intentions when provoked?

Who's lying this time?

Since I gave up on my Berlitz course in Farsi, we really don't know what they are saying. All we have is someone in Neverland Ranch East telling us that "WE are okay - the GOOD guys - see my white hat? But these other guys, why, they don't wear hats at ALL - THEY are not even Americans as far as we know! So they HAVE to be the liars. And remember - WE'VE NEVER lied to you. We just maintain the fiction as Ronnie would have wanted us to do."

the irony is that we'll never be able to see "team america"(the patriotic puppetry equivalent of that lee greenwood song) on tv.

forget rewind......,
we're fucked outta "play"

i guess we'll never hear the song:
"if you see Kay (tell her I love her)" on the radio ever again... which is okay with me since it sucked anywho...

besides, no one wants to "catch" binLardass, if someone gave him up we'd send missles and kill him from 30,oo feet so we can watch the it on the news in night vision photograhy.

also, it's not nuclear defense,
it's "noo-quoo-lar de-fincz". get it straight before cheney reloads DHS birdshot on you ass...

after they eat net neutrality, all is fucked anyway

April Wine. I don't recall "Nuclear Waist" but they did do a cover of King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man"
